Split-level ground floor rear extension, internal refurbishment with loft conversion and garden pod in Harpenden.

 

Owing to the sloping side we decided to work with the topography rather than against it and introduced a split-level rear kitchen extension, this improved ceiling height as well as better connecting with the garden.

 

The contemporary extension features: glass oriel glass window box, vertical Western Red Cedar cladding, open corner and up and over glazing feature.

 

The dark moody kitchen units complement the black slim frame glazing.

 

Loft dormer is clad in dark standing seam zinc to help unify the design.
